Oh my God me too! My brother has oculartanuous oa i believe (i dont know enough about the terms tbh) him and i are the only ones in my family to present like this, he has almost identical symptoms to yours (although he has had surgucal intervention for his eye sight and now is merely considered 'visually impaired' and not legally blind, it didnt work that well), its funny he had the head tilt but he had eye muscle surgery to correct it to prevent arthritis, its funny while ive never been genetically tested i have paler eyes than my brother and near perfect vision, we therorize that i may have one of the genes. My brother prentends his doesnt exist because saying something about the eyes could make people believe hes less capable, and well hes got enough pigment to pretend im curious to hear your experience

Hello from 2024… I am legally blind and working on a video project and I want to add audio description into it so I can be inclusive… And I’m trying to figure out how to do this… I wish there was a way where you could just push a button and some kind of AI thing which is an audio track that would describe things. Oh well… That idea about having the transcript sync up with the video, but instead of like the transcript, it would be like whatever the described audio track would say is a good idea. I wish they had that.

I believe my son has some form of Albinism. I noticed that his eyes go side by side when he looks. It was born he was very pale and you could probably see his eyebrows when he was born

I had to return the Quest 3, when I gave it a try. I couldn't even set it up. I think it was asking for my language, or region., Whenever I moved closer, the menu/window moved back. I couldn't move the window closer, get narration, or find a way to increase font. It was an instant deal breaker. As someone who loves tech, this was very disappointing.

Your videos are helping me understand assistive tech and I am grateful that you took the time to create this type of content. I am a junior web developer and since it was not taught in school I am trying to figure out what steps to take to add assistive technologies to my code so that my web pages are more friendly to all people. Having a better context of how these technologies work will help me make more sense of it all. Thank you.

The sole reason why I do not play any of the new 3-D Zelda games is because of its non-linear format don’t get me wrong. I think it’s great that you get to do anything and everything that you want, but it feels so overwhelming to me. I just feel like I’ll get lost pretty easily and end up in an area way of course to where I am supposed to be at.

I was also thinking: Why not make an app that lets you just zoom around in the representation of the real world (passthrough)? Like. If you don't open any apps you just see the world around you. Why not build a zoom and vision enhancing feature for this. It seams like it wouldn't be hard to program and it would make the apple vision pro a legit wearable magnifier. I am currently using a similar device called the Oxsight Onyx and it has a bad camera. But still it let's me work as a voice actor. Something that would not be possible without this device. Imagine how many lov vision people could benefit from having an actually good device on their head. The best wearable magnifiers right now are just VR Goggles with old Samsung smartphones in them. Imagine just using an Apple Vision Pro for that. It hes much better latency and is much lighter. You can also see with two eyes instead of through a phone camera. Please upvote this comment so some app diveloper sees it and makes this come true.

I’m vision impeached aswell and I am in Australia Demos start next week and I’ll be trying for sure I really hope Apple realises the potential they have to change so many peoples lives even if it costs them more to make it more acsassable for people like us My visual impairments are nystagmus and Optic nerve hypoplasia

Just discovered that not only do I have albinism, but I am a carrier for ALL of them. I literally can't tan, although I do freckle very heavily, so it's conflicting. It does make me feel better for a younger me who was constantly made fun of for how bright white I was (am) and how the only thing the sun does is burn me.

I have congenital nystagmus which means I’ve had it since birth. I’ve had two surgeries since I was born and I’m 13, my vision is around 20/50 or 20/60 when a normal person is 20/20. My surgeries has been to change my null point and now I turn my head to the side and look out of the corner of my eye to see. It’s hard but I’ve always adapted. Imagine a device like this that can be implanted in your brain to manipulate your mind to create images of all the objects it detects. That would truly be groundbreaking for people with sight problems, personally i would have one implanted just for the fun of it :)

incredible, I lived a very similar experience in 1999 via aol chatrooms, she became my girlfriend from 1999-2004! I loved every single minute of that experience.
